We have implemented new technology that will allow us to remotely access client computers for quick troubleshooting and support. Remote support sessions are encrypted using industry standard 128-bit SSL encryption and are facilliated using the open source VNC protocol. All remote sessions are initiated by the client and are completely removed from the client machine when closed. More details about the technology used can be found here.
To utilize this service:
- Make SURE that your client service representative is aware that you are connecting to the remote service and is expecting your connection. Typically, you should not initiate a support session unless instructed to do so by your client service representative.
- Download and execute the remote support application from the link above
- Type in the numeric session ID provided by your client service representative (e.g. "12345") and click OK
- If you receive a Windows Firewall (or other aftermarket firewall) notification, click to allow the application to connect.
- Your client support representative will then be able to connect to the session and take control of your desktop.
