BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

Scotty Jones has 30+ years of experience in public accounting and is the CEO of the firm. Scotty’s experience has covered a wide range of areas over his career including financial institutions, governmental auditing, taxation, and information technology. He currently practices primarily in the area of taxation and strategic consulting. His consulting expertise includes mergers and acquisitions, profitability enhancement, and litigation support. In addition to being a CPA, Scotty is a certified valuation analyst and is heavily involved in business valuations. He graduated with a Bachelor in Business Administration degree in Accounting from Georgia Southern University, summa cum laude.

PROFESSIONAL AND CIVIC AFFILIATIONS

Scotty is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA).  Within the GSCPA, he has been active in promoting the accounting profession throughout the state by serving on the board of directors and as a section leader for the past several years.  His peers have recognized his leadership by awarding him the Distinguished Section Leader Award and the
Distinguished Chapter President Award.  He is also active and a member of the
National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, the Dublin-Laurens County
Development Authority Airport Oversight Committee (Member and Past Chairman),
the Dublin-Laurens County Chamber of Commerce (Past Chairman), the Heart of
Georgia Technical College Business AdvisoryCommittee (Past Chairman), and a
member of Pine Forest Methodist Church.  For his work with the Boy Scouts of
America, Scotty has been awarded the Silver Beaver Award for Volunteerism.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE

Scotty enjoys wing and skeet shooting as well as fishing in both fresh and salt
water.  Other interests include snow skiing, photography and travel.  He is also
a pilot and an avid aviator whose favorite season is the fall because of college
football.  He and his wife Louise have three children.
